Ingredients

  • 1 cup Health Ninja Zero Sugar Malai Kulfi Oats
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp milk powder
  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbsp chopped pistachios
  • 1 tbsp chopped almonds
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1-2 tbsp condensed milk, optional
  • Chopped pistachios for garnishing

How to Make Malai Kulfi Oats Modak

Step 1: Prepare the oats

Take Health Ninja Malai Kulfi Oats and lightly grind them in a mixer. Keep the oats slightly coarse instead of making a very fine powder.

Step 2: Roast the oats

Heat 1 tsp ghee in a non-stick pan on low heat.

Add the ground oats and roast for about 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously.

Do not over-roast the oats.

Step 3: Add milk

Slowly add ½ cup milk while stirring continuously.

Mix well until there are no lumps.

Step 4: Make the modak mixture

Add milk powder, desiccated coconut, chopped pistachios and almonds.

Mix everything well and cook on low heat until the mixture becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan.

If you prefer a sweeter modak, add 1-2 tbsp condensed milk and mix well.

Step 5: Let it cool

Transfer the mixture to a plate and allow it to cool for a few minutes.

The mixture should be warm but cool enough to handle comfortably.

Step 6: Shape the modaks

Lightly grease a modak mould with a little ghee.

Take a small portion of the mixture, place it inside the mould and press it gently so that it takes the shape of the mould.

Carefully open the mould and remove the modak.

Repeat with the remaining mixture.

Step 7: Garnish and serve

Garnish the modaks with chopped pistachios and serve fresh.
